The proposed GridZero Vineyard & Winery (GZ Vineyard) project was designed for The Santa Ynez
Valley, in Santa Barbara County wine California. The goal will be to merge it into a new Aquarium Plaza Vineyard Resort concept if our ClubZERO membership reaches 100,000 paid members by the end of 2025 to help fund it. Our proposed Vineyard will also incorporate our AgriVoltaic Farming Research Campus which will consume over 20 acres (seen on the top of this rendering as blue boxes).

The goal is to build a network of solar canopies over grapevines, assorted berries, produce, citrus and avocado trees. Then study the growth patterns vs similar open air growth over a ten year period to collect data and validate the Agrivoltaic Farming values.
These canopies will be 200' x 200' (40,000 SF) with one 200' x 300' (60,000 SF) with a 40,000 SF second level for for offices, and training facilities over an indoor vertical farming operation.

These canopies feature a bifacial solar panel roof system that will generate 600,000 watts each on average, or over 4 MegaWatts (MW) of power. When combined with our Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) and Smartflower solar systems placed throughout the proposed vineyard and research property, we estimated over 6 MW of power will be generated onsite.
This power will be used to operate multiple water generators, operate the winery, the vertical farm and other farming operations to make for a sustainable off-grid agricultural property. We will also use some of the power and water to produce green hydrogen to operate our farming equiment.
