The Genesis for The AngelPreneur: "Dream" Project
Our Founder shares the Genesis of his Dream project details.
The 2017 Maui MagShark & Maui SkyPODS Projects
Solar Powered Aerial Transit System
Launching any large scale development is never easy, but building one on a small Hawaiian Island like Maui, thousands of miles away from your Las Vegas desert base, can be quite challenging. Add in some Covid Pandemic and game over. However, to passionate and determined purpose-driven entrepreneurs like our Founder, The Shark
mission failure is not an option.
Add into this creative entrepreneurial mix a goal to build a unique aquatic memorial to honor his first granddaughter, born on his birthday in 1998, but lost to a flash flood in August 2005 at age 7. Combine that with a strong desire to semi-retire in west Maui where he lived and sailed in the late 80's, only to watch Lahaina Town and its harbor burn to the ground in 2023. Most people would have given up long ago, but not The Shark - it merely made him even more determined than ever to build his Dream project. - now designed as the West Maui Resilience Center.
The Shark's journey towards a working semi-retirement in West Maui began in 2027, with a crazy idea to build an aerial transit system on Maui. Initially conceived as the MagShark, a mag-lev aerial train system that would travel from Kahului Airport to the west, central and east Maui tourist areas. It was to include an 8 mile tunnel to the west end. He later changed it to a new concept called Maui SkyPODS by 2019.

The Original Maui Aquarium Plaza Resort & Conference Center
As his SkyPOD project seemed unrealistic even to The Shark, he began designing a his first Aquarium Plaza Resort & Conference Center development, incorporating a smaller version of his SkyPODS. As the conceptual rendering below shows, it was to be built around the West Maui Airport, not far from where his current West Maui Resilience Center project is proposed today. It was designed to include a larger Marissa's Reef exhibit as the signature aquarium attraction. The project also featured an 18 hole golf course with clubhouse, a senior living facility, arts theatre, a 14 building apartment complex, retail center, and several other elements.

The Proposed Maui AirWater Bottling Plant
Just as The Shark was set to present some of his concepts to Maui officials, the 2020 Covid Pandemic hit and he shelved the projects. Until after the August 2023 fires burned down Lahaina, Initially he looked at simply building an 18,000 gallon per day Maui AirWater plant on an existing commercial lot in central Maui, as seen in this rendering below. His goal was to help address the water and plastic wast issues, and get himself back to Maui. Like the other projects, it soon grew into the latest much larger project known as his West Maui Resilience Center.

Few people have seen or heard of the above projects to date, and despite the The Shark's determination, no guarantee can be made that Maui would track the latest project development. Stay tuned as we update you on future developments.
