The AngelPreneur: Building The Dream in Real Time

A Bold, Unfiltered Look at Launching 7 Startups—From Scratch

Launching a company is tough. Launching multiple startups simultaneously—each with its own team, vision, and business model—and proposing to build a $250 million development thousands of miles away in Maui, Hawaii - might sound impossible. But for Peter “The AngelPreneur” Ortmann, age 70—also known as The Shark—it’s the next chapter in a lifelong journey of bold innovation. Beginning in early 2026, The Shark will bring his vision to life in a groundbreaking entrepreneurial reality web series called: “The AngelPreneur: Building the Dream in Real Time”. A true entrepreneurial comeback story ever there ever were one.

This unscripted, reality-style docu-series will follow The Shark, and host of the series as he and his teams set out to build the three GridZero Venture Fund businesses from the ground up - into public companies hopefully — plus his West Maui Resilience Center project in real time —capturing every challenge, every breakthrough, and every pivot along the way. It promises to become the entrepreneurial reality ride of a lifetime, so fasten your seat belts. The Shark is on the loose and that means lots of drama will be generated.

Raw. Real. Relentless.

Produced in-house by the AngelPreneur Venture Group (APVG), Peter’s private media and venture development firm, this series isn’t a glossy, high-budget production packed with gimmicks. It’s a front-row seat to the unfiltered entrepreneurial daily grind.

You’ll see:

  • Concept creation and early-stage planning

  • Design, funding, and team formation

  • Real people navigating real obstacles

  • Wins, failures, and everything in between

Each of the seven companies will have its own sub-series, offering deep, detailed story arcs and behind-the-scenes insights into what it really takes to build a business. Think older reality series - “The Apprentice” meets “The Office” on “Survivor”—minus the fake drama, plus real vision and real stakes.

As Peter says:

“I don’t see ‘impossible’—I see ‘I’m possible.’ I don’t fear failure—it’s a tool, not a curse. One thing I have learned over the years is to never let someone's perception of you become your reality”
