Founder/President/CEO shares his disaster ReliefHUB plan
CBO Foundation ReliefHUBS
Modular, Off-Grid Emergency Response Solutions
What Is an Emergency ReliefHUB?
The idea behind the CBO Foundation's ReliefHUBS was born from tragedy, inspired by the devastating wildfire on the island of Maui in August 2023, which tragically destroyed the historic town of Lahaina in a single day. Over 100 lives were lost, with many still unaccounted for, the destruction of 2,200 homes and 300 local businesses leaving 8,000+ residents homeless and without access to essential life services.
For our Founder—who once lived and sailed out of Lahaina—this loss was personal. In response, his GridZero designed its ReliefHUBS concept to create a solution that could make a meaningful difference the next time disaster strikes anywhere.

The above videos share the devastation on Maui during and two years after the wildfire, and justifies the need for ReliefHUBS, with its first three units being built for the CBO Foundation - to be stored in our Founder's proposed West Maui Resilience Center project. All funded in part with a share of ClubZERO Rewards member dues.
ReliefHUBS are fully off-grid, modular emergency response facilities designed for rapid deployment in the wake of natural disasters or humanitarian crises. These units provide vital infrastructure in areas where power, water, and sanitation are no longer available. ReliefHUB measure 50' x 50' and can be placed in any available space. They're ideal for:
-
Non-profit disaster response teams
-
Government agencies (FEMA, state, and local)
-
Homeless encampment outreach
-
Temporary emergency relief centers
-
Military and humanitarian operations

Whether for wildfire zones, flood-struck communities, or vulnerable urban populations, ReliefHUBS bring hope, dignity, and life-saving resources to those who need them most. They could also be incorporated into yacht harbors and marines for live aboard sailors, for local homeless encampments, and remote construction sites.
